On November 22nd our team discovered that another studio had been stealing assets from our own project to make their own game, which they immediately began selling online. Following our initial request that they immediately cease the illegal exploitation of our work, their studio has continued to violate our copyright and resist compliance with the law.

We need to put a stop to behavior like this in the industry.

Our legal team is currently underway with the forceful takedown of any material hosted by this studio which infringes our copyright. While this entirely avoidable legal action has cost us thousands of dollars, we feel that drawing a hard line regarding the utilization of stolen assets in game development is imperative.

Currently the infringing studio has made no indication that they will repay the legal fees associated with their copyright violation. Regardless of this, we feel that holding accountable any studio that knowingly sells stolen assets is absolutely critical.

Any revenue from purchases or donations made here will go towards our legal action against the studio that has chosen to blatantly steal and sell our work. If the funds accrued here surpass the fees associated with our legal action, any surpluss revenue will go towards the development of our game "Operation: Harsh Doorstop" which is available for free on Steam.

This is our opportunity to finally hold a corruptable studio accountable. This rampant behavior of theft and exploitation in the industry needs to stop immediately, and we've been given a chance to send a message... that our community won't tolerate it any longer.
